The
most popular and economical railcar fall protection available
today. Most commonly used when workers are required to access
the entire length of one or more railcars. A cable based horizontal
lifeline capable of free spans of up to 200' and unlimited lengths
with pass-through capability utilizing an overhead sealed bearing
shuttle. Multiple users gain the added benefit of bypass when
two or more flexible lifeline systems are used in parallel.
Configurations
The Single Span Flexible Lifeline System provides economical railcar
fall protection over up to three (3) railcars. Using parallel
systems, fall protection can be provided for up to three (3) users
with full bypass capability resulting in increased productivity.
The
Multi-Span Flexible Lifeline System provides economical railcar
fall protection for multiple railcars and multiple users. Featuring
a sealed bearing stainless steel patented overhead shuttle, the
system is completely hands-free.
Flexible
Lifeline Systems - The Flexible Lifeline Railcar Fall
Protection Systems provide an unprecedented ease of movement.
Using the sealed bearing trolleys, the retractable lifeline remains
overhead at all times completely eliminating any potential for
an in-line swing-fall. The 8mm stainless steel cable is not susceptible
to dust and debris build-up providing a maintenance-free railcar
fall protection system.
Ice
and Snow Build-Up (Exterior
Systems) - A quick tug on the lifeline “snaps” off
any minor ice build-up on the cable. The Flexible Lifeline Railcar
Fall Protection Systems is not susceptible to snow or ice build
up providing unprecedented ease of movement when you need it most.
The retractable lifeline remains overhead at all times providing
additional support on slippery surfaces. We actually recommend
that the user “lock” the retractable and use it as
additional support while walking.
Unlimited
Length
- Flexible Lifeline Railcar Fall Protection Systems can be designed
in unlimited lengths and are easy to extend when you expand your
loading capacities. Economical 1000'+ systems are not uncommon.
Future
Expansion
- The Flexible Lifeline Railcar Fall Protection System is easy
to expand when you expand your unloading capacities. We’ll
even design your system with your expansion plans in mind to further
reduce costs when you are ready to increase capacity.

Re-Certification
after a Fall
- FLS offers the only complimentary service-after-a-fall in the
industry. After a fall, the retractable lifeline and full body
harness should be returned to FLS for complimentary replacements.
